Because winter is nearly here and the temperatures outside have already dropped, we wanted to take the time to talk about how the threat of a dryer fire increases when it’s cold out. This isn’t a fact that is well known, so we wanted to make sure to address it. Think about it: clothing and bedding is much thicker as compared to the type of clothing and bedding we use during the summer. Thanks to the thicker materials, more lint is produced when they are run through the dryer. This lint then gets trapped in your dryer ducts and hoses, and it can then possibly ignite and cause a fire.
